Back in Great Britain!

We said our goodbyes, successfully crossed Paris by metro,caught the train at la Gare du Nord, and are now heading home.  A bientôt!

Last night in Paris.

We have been really impressed with our pupils.  Despite overcast weather on most days, they have not complained and they have always been most attentive whenever we have had 'briefings'.  All have said they are happy with their families and we think that there will be some sad faces tomorrow when we have to say au revoir.  We will try to send more pictures of them with their partners tomorrow.

Before taking the metro to Montmartre, we learnt new words by looking at vibrant market stalls under the metro line.

Here we are in front of the steps leading to la Basilique du Sacré Coeur.  We enjoyed the calmness of the basilica where a service was taking place.  Now we are exploring the art and souvenirs of la Place du Tertre.

After a delightful French lesson we headed to l'ıle de la cité to visit Notre Dame, la Conciergerie and La Sainte Chapelle.
